What Does It Mean To Reach Enlightenment?
I define enlightenment as “perceiving reality accurately”, meaning, without fear, judgement, or constriction. This includes understanding that everything that happens and everything that IS (including yourself, others, the material world, etc) is made of light with varying levels of density. Add to that, the enlightened non-dualistic perception, which is recognizing that there is no good/bad, right/wrong — there are only variations in frequency/light/density.
At this stage, there is an acknowledgement of what is resonant and harmonious with you, without the reflex of rightness and wrongness.
There is an awareness of the difference between the personality and the Infinite Being, and a choice made as to what aspect you are functioning from and within.
When you allow this innate awareness, you don’t take anything personally, you naturally build the energies of gratitude, love and compassion for all, including self. I also believe that enlightenment is a process/journey, not a destination. Every moment we have the opportunity to observe ourselves and life through a filter of conditioning/programming/fear - or through a filter of understanding and compassion, which is the process of enlightenment in action.
I hope this simplified answer is supportive for you!
